Sunni Association in Iraq Approves its Internal Regulations During the Fifth International Conference

During the activities of its fifth international conference, the Sunni Association in Iraq reviewed and discussed its internal system, leading to its approval as follows:

Introduction to the Association

Reasons for Establishment: The necessity of the stage and the aim to make the work institutional led to the formation of a gathering for the Rashid Sunni current to activate and rationalize the call in Iraq, and to cooperate in righteousness and piety and integrate with our other brothers working in the field. More than 140 figures from scholars, preachers, imams, and orators gathered in four conferences, resulting in the announcement of the establishment of the Sunni Association in Iraq on 22/9/2012. It was then officially registered in Turkey, and its headquarters was opened in Istanbul, with representatives in Iraq, Turkey, Malaysia, Qatar, Jordan, Sudan, and other countries. This effort was blessed by many scholars and prominent figures.

Objectives:

Qualifying cadres in Sharia and historical specializations.

Clarifying the methodology of the noble Companions and those who followed them from the notable Imams.

Preparing the infrastructure for da'wah, such as building mosques, religious schools, Quran memorization centers, Sharia, and judicial institutes.

Magnifying the stature of Sharia (rituals and laws) to embody the moderate approach away from extremism and negligence.

Vision:

Achieving complete servitude to Allah Almighty, and conveying the pure message of Islam in the way understood by the noble Companions, so that people may live under its shadow as believers, secure and happy.

Policies:

Calling to Allah with wisdom and good instruction, constructive dialogue, and avoiding controversy.

Mercy to creation.

Adhering to the scientific methodology.

Project:

Adopting the Sunni project in thought and application, and confronting the Safavid populist thought, to return to the true identity of the nation.

Correcting misconceptions in religiosity.

Purifying history and correcting the falsehoods that have tarnished the religion and civilization of the nation, and learning from it, as it represents the nation's identity and voice, records its glories, serves as a lesson for its children, and motivates its generations for creativity and progress. For this reason, the Quran records bright aspects of its men's heroism, as nations and sects are known through their beliefs, achievements, and exploration of their historical pages.

Activating sincere advising to the leaders of Muslims and their general populace.

Purification and education, and combating foreign and deviant ideas that contradict our religion and history.
